If you are trying keep weight down for a travel package, seems like an extra pound just for the diagonal ought to be considered, especially if you are committed to 1.25" eyepieces for that reason as well. I now have an Astro Tech 2" dielectric diagonal, that I only use in the Vixen. a Tele Vue 1.25" everbright and the the 1.25" prism diagonal that came with the Edge which I can use in either scope.
