The light in an Amici diagonal bounces off the prism surfaces 5 times verses one for a mirror or 90 degree diagonal prism. The stock diagonal is not as bright or square as the dielectric mirror type diagonals. The 2" option is good so at some point you can venture into the 2" eyepieces for wider FOV.
