The average cost of a single Bilstein shock is around $200, with a complete set (two front shocks and two rear shocks) costing upwards of $800. This is not a cost that should be incurred lightly, as Bilstein shocks are some of the best available on the market.

One of my 4DR JK's has the 2.5" TF coils with the 9550 TF Shocks, my other 4DR has the 2.5" TF coils with the 5100 Bilstein shocks. The TF coil and shock combo feels better, considering that TF has the shocks valved specifically for there spring rate would be my guess. WebDec 21, 2011 · I called Bilstein and the rep told me that the HD and 5100 shocks had the same valving. I went with OME because there were so many positive comments on the smooth ride. I did read positive comments on the Bilstein's. I'll post my comments when I get the OME shocks installed. Good luck with your shock decision! WebJan 9, 2012 · IMO, Bilstein HD shocks are a must for a WJ! They are kinda expensive, but they will probably be the last set of shocks you put on. For the lights, I recommend finding ones that use CCFL halos instead of LED, I have heard the CCFLs are much brighter, and I have seen some LED halo models, they were unimpressive in the brightness dept.
